Buckingham Fountain is one of the largest fountains in the world and one of Chicago’s most famous landmarks. The fountain was donated to the city by Kate Buckingham in honor of her late brother Clarence and represents Lake Michigan and the four states that surround the lake. The fountain really comes to life in the evening when a light and music display commences every hour beginning at dusk.
